The death of the small VARs has been discussed for a long time. But with both Microsoft and Sage getting more forceful in rewarding the activities of large VARs, 2010 could prove to be a real watershed. Microsoft has a new reseller agreement going into effect this summer and one midsize VAR says he's getting a sharp uptick in approaches by smaller operations looking for a deal. Another said that requirements, such as increased training and testing, are going to make carrying multiple Dynamics products very expensive.
